First try at Camel Bone

I received an order for a knife with camel bone. I have never worked on it before, so I thought I might want to make a practice piece. I am amazed at how glossy it shines up, it looks like glass. It is a bit heavier than I expected, although, I bought stabilized, and I am not sure if the camel bone the customer provided is stabilized or not. I am not sure how much of a difference it makes, probably about 10% or so.

Matt showed me this knife this past week end, and the pictures do not do it justice. It turned out really nice. At first glance, it looks almost like a set of Mammoth scales.
