Here is an album of images

First attempt at "making" a knife. I bought the blade, bolsters, liners, and back spring from closed factory surplus Queen Cutlery.

I made the scales from cedar. Then bought some stainless rod and some brass rod. Neither of which match the holes in the spring or blade. Seemed like it should have been 3/32"...

Anyway, there is a good side and a not-so-good side. The blade wants to hit the liner when it closes, and there are some gaps. But otherwise I am satisfied with my first attempt.

Peening stainless rod is definitely not easy. Peening anything near cedar is asking for damaged wood. There must be a starting point that I am not aware of. :)
