I got 2 pieces of bi-directional aerospace CF from ebay for $20. They are 5" x 3/4" x 1/2". I still need to hand sand it some and drill a lanyard hole in the butt. When the knife is finished, I'll wet mold a neck sheath for it with some vegetable tanned leather. It will be completely non-metallic.
