So the Leek and the OSO Sweet arrived today. I've also ordered a Blur from kershawguy, at a very good price.

I'm a noob. Still, here are my most raw, first impressions so far. I actually prefer the scales and heft of the OSO Sweet handle. The Leek feels pretty slippery in comparison. The OSO handle also seems decidedly more ergonomic. The Leek is super, well, sleek, though, and IMO would be less alarming to co-workers. It also would be very unobtrusive in a suit pocket.

My intention is to gift or sell the knives I like the least. I'm pretty excited about the Blur, I have to say.

I'm really glad I asked advice from you guys. Thanks!

Hard to go wrong with a Kershaw as your gateway knife. You can keep them and use them the rest of your life or pass them on to someone else.

Btw, I am digging the flipper mechanism! Wow!

Yeah, Kershaws assist knives are pretty cool. Just be careful where you you flip it open, cops in some areas will try to tell you that it is an auto knife and in a lot of places they (auto) are not legal.

The Blur I ordered is a partially-stated, black tanto blade. Black handle.

From what I have researched, most knives are legal here in Utah, thankfully. Smart to pay attention when traveling, though.

I thought Utah was more lax on knives than most states but worth mentioning for new knife guys.

I bought my first Kershaw leek 1660 ckt yesterday and was so impressed I bought another one that is in olive drab and then a blackwashed leek from a member here.

They are totally awesome. and I am a Case XX collector.

Of course I've been playing with the new knives since they arrived this afternoon. Man, the action on the Leek is wicked smooth.

I picked up my first Kershaw (a purple Leek) last month, and am very impressed. Excellent fit & finish. SpeedSafe is amazing. The Leek will definitely be my gateway knife to other Kershaws.

More time spent with the Kershaws: the Leek is also very friendly to sharpen. The more I mess around with these two (OSO Sweet and Leek), the more I'm enjoying the Leek, although I still prefer the handle, ergonomics, and heft (blade and handle) of the OSO Sweet.

Man, that Leek is a fun little toy, though. It's definitely going to be my "church" knife (worn in a suit pocket).

What Leek did you get? I had been eyeing a desert sand knife and a leek for a while. About a year ago Dave got some desert sand leek blems and I couldn't pass it up. Great little knife but I personally prefer a bigger knife so the leek doesn't get used much.

I bought my best friend a stainless leek when his first baby was born. He's some financial hot shot in the Baltimore area and wears a suit every day and I thought the stainless leek would make a great dress knife.
