First Usuba in 1084 and ironwood

My first usuba and urasaki grind.
Going to put it to the test in my kitchen to see what I can learn about these cutting techniques and to refine my understanding of how to make these blades well.

There are many interesting things about that knife. Such as... belt finish on one side, hand sand and scale on the other? I like your right hand bevels there.
Bolster of many stacked G10 washers... kinda cool.
Ironwood that almost looks like cocobolo on the mark side... is that a resin fill up high in the middle of the pile side?
I bet it's fun to take a spin around the kitchen with. Thanks for sharing!
