well im going camping on sat and thought i should make me a beater camping knife. i have a bunch of power hack saw blades that are M2 or M4, i think M2. so i ground out a nice blade from one. man these are a bitch to grind. so i gave it a very slight convex grind to the spine as its onley 1/6" thick. para cord handle. check out the vid. i had to try it on some water bottles.

i left the teath on the spine.

Ha! Something about that video made me smile. And silently cheer, "Now do it with the toothed side!"

Take good care around camp if you plan on using the knife for any serious chopping of wood, or anything hard Jarod. Those blades have a tendency to snap or even shatter under stress.
There's a good reason why cutting competition knives (the ultimate 'camp knife'?) are built the way they are, and why we normally take so much care over our H/T including the temper.
Saw blades like yours tend to be too hard (and therefore too brittle) to stand up to the sort of stresses that a camp knife might be subjected to during what would be considered 'normal' use.

if you would have been right handed you could have done seven.
(grin)

nice vern :D

i could do more but thats all the bottles i had :) the record is 17 i think?

think i should try 28, that would be a whole case.
