First world problems: I'm knife addict. You laugh but this stuff keeps me up at night.

Problem:
So I owned a Ratmandu, great knife but didn't like the handles. I ordered a ba-tac. Great handles but seems heavy. Part of me says keep it and be done. The other says sell 1 buy 2!!! The addict says keep it and buy others but don't tell your wife!!!

Solutions:
I'm considering trading it and skipping 5" for a 4" and 6" combo. Or maybe a scrapper 5 le. I'm so lost. Anyone want to weigh in their thoughts! I'm like a gambling addict: red, no black, no red!

So in an effort to find clarity, can you post pics of you 4-6 inch blades together.

The "skinny" Sob is the le edition correct? That's nice!!! Someone pray for me. I need help or a psychiatrist.

Buy, Buy, Buy.....dont tell Ur Wife,
Thats been my moto lately, the trick is not to let her catch all the Doubles/triples at once, that way she can just assume its the same knife lol

Well I'm a mental health specialist and a knife enthusiast --- so my suggestion is. . . Become a sperm donor, then sell your organs, then sell other people's organs, and eventually --- when you're ready --- you can buy at least 2 Busse/Bussekin models for each inch

If the above mentioned is out of your comfort zone --- I'd say get any of the following combos

1. S.O.B/Trash-1
2. Street Scrapper 4 (INFI)/Beefmandu
3. C.A.B.S/Hell Razor Terror Monkey
4. High Street/ASH-1 (.22 or .32)
5. SYKCO 411/Sar 6

What about a satin jack for the larger knife? I've heard very positive things about that one, although I do not have one myself. I think it's in the 6" range.

All keepers --- all users/soon to be used + my Grail Fat ASH-1

Also all of them except the Beefmandu have my Mirror Polished edge . . . The Beefmandu is coming up soon, but I'm currently sharpening/re profiling my Chophouse Thick Cut --- so that first ;)

Define purpose, if not looking for a chopper, get an Anorexic Badger from back in the day, go ahead and get one with the satin finish and the snake skin handles, an LE, with a number.

After that, you will be much harder to please with all these other knives you mention!

Man, you guys read my mind!!! I've considered an anorexic basic 4, Sob, and an ash/trash or satin Jac tac or jack hammer

If it were me. I'd never have sold my scrapper 5 le. Killer blade right there.

The s.o.b.le or cg will serve you well. Alice and light.

Thanks man --- I can't say enough how awesome Busse/Bussekin products are ---- each of these models has a special niche and a special meaning. That CS ASH-1 is a beast, a beauty, and by far one of the greatest knives I own. I'm a little obsessed with it!

You're definitely on the right track brother --- if you want to go max weight to performance ratio and are willing to go a little bit bigger --- I'd say get the Street Scrapper 4 (INFI)/Basic 8 L.E

That should cover just about all your needs and be as light, but potent as possible. Throw in a folding saw like the Silky Gomboy and maybe a Scrapivore CG as a Neck Knife ---- and you'll be way more covered than typically necessary -- all at extremely low overall weight.

Whatever you decide --- cheers!!!

Now that one I do have. I picked one up after watching Andy the Aussies exploits over the years, and that thin B4 is a great little blade. Light as a feather, awesome steel, blade and handle both tough as nails  I hope we get another run of them before OP2W is over, or even a boulemic B4, the BB4, in something like .135" stock.

You've only got one wife, just saying… it's easier to keep a healthy trust/relationship than it is to try and rebuild lost trust. Very difficult to do once it's been lost, relationships pretty much tend to crumble to dust once it is gone…. tread carefully my friend. Plenty of knives out there...

SJTAC (one of my all time favorites), Boss Jack, B4. You mentioned that the Batac was too handle heavy....too heavy for the blade, didn't like the balance, or just too heavy period? I am really digging my new BAE2. It is a heavy knife, but balanced for it's size and thickness. They will be popping up on the exchange as more and more people get them.

For what it is worth, Scrapper 5 LE is a great knife… I'd take that knife over almost anything else in an either/or situation between 4-6". That being said, save your money for what Bossman has on deck next… might just be something you can't live without.
