Thanks guys. Can't wait to put it in the rotation! My current favorite EDC is an Emerson Commander. Any of you guys have both? Wondering how the grip ergos compare.

You will love it. I really love those orange scales, but as a fan of a team who has a couple bitter rivals in orange...it's hard for me to get one. [emoji1]

Only Emersons I have are a SuperK, a couple auto collabs w/ ProTech and a pair of tiny la Griffes.

So, has it arrived?

Yes it has. It is all that I was hoping it would be. This one will get carried and used quite a bit and give the others in my rotation a run for their money and they are no slouches. Here are a couple pics from this morning, not the best shots but will remedy that soon. A couple on the back porch and another with its new framelock family.

I have a prediction but will hold off for two(2) weeks....:) You are going to ( :) ) it.

Congrats again.

I think your thinking the same thing I am thinking! Here is another with the morning coffee. Now, where to find the anodized blue body screws to compliment the standoffs and lbs?

I have a safe Full of really Nice Knives that never see the light of day because I only carry my Hinderers. I say, "You need to clear this out" and I never do, I should...
Now, I really enjoy rotating my Hinderers much more so than I ever thought I would, meaning I have always been a "favorite thing" sort of guy and I guess I still am but the "Favorite thing" always has HINDERER etched in it....:)
I've written about it before, it basically comes down to a fundamental connection between Man and Tool (Me and It) I know it, like it, it is "familiar" to me and I see no reason to upset that balance anymore.
So, my EDC decision is simple.
I remember reading something about Steve Jobs once and that he had a closet FULL of Levi's, Black pull-over and New Balance sneakers ALL the exact same model/color etc and when asked why he basically said, "It is what I like and I am to busy with more important things than to worry or wonder about my wardrobe selection that is just one thing that I do not have to think about".
He went into more depth and detail as to the why and where , like he discovered the pullover and liked it so much he contracted there to be 30 of them made for him and delivered. Stuff like that.
Anyway, I am not analagizing myself to Steve Jobs at all but I had done that many years ago after I got out of Corporate and no longer danced to the beat of a drum.

Congratulations! I'm due to receive my first non-zt, real Hinderer in the mail tomorrow... the anticipation is tough!
I've never seen in person/held an actual Hinderer, so very much looking forward to it.

RubiconSS - well stated and interesting factoid about Steve Jobs - I wasn't aware of that... I had always attributed that behavior to Einstein, but recently learned that Enstein did not in fact wear the same outfit as you described for Jobs...great concept tho, if it works, why mess with success?

And...a second one will be on its way to me soon!

Managed to snag one from this mornings direct sale!
