First year Buck 112 Question

Did the first year Buck 112 with micarta slabs, inverted BUCK U.S.A. stamp and brass spacer bar have a 112 labeled sheath or did they use 110 labeled sheaths for the very first run? Just curious as I recently got a 112 from this time period but it came in a 110 sheath. Maybe they didn't retool everything to make sheaths from jump street and they used what they had in stock?

My guess is a 112 sheath, since the sheath for a 110 would be about 3/4 inch too long.

A 112 sheath. But maybe not stamped. Dm

What happened is in the very first one's there was a problem (don't know what exactly) and some were shipped with a modified 500 shieth. It's stamped 500 but is different from a regular 500 shieth. As far as I know they only found in the V1-V1 with the brass spacer. I've looked at every listing on Ebay for at least 7 years and have only seen 3..
