Just got my first Zero Tolerance knife -the model 0200. Have to say I'm impressed - this thing is a heavy tank. Fit and finish is 98%. It loses two points because the scales are not perfectly flush with the liners in a few places. This is a very minor discrepancy - more a matter of feel than being visually perceptible. The blade came shaving sharp out of box and the lockup is rock solid in the up and down plane although there is a minute amount of flex side to side. The liner lock engages about 40% of the lock face and disengages easily. I can't deploy the blade with just the flipper alone but in conjunction with a wrist flick there is no problem. I can, however, snap the blade open with just a wrist flick. I like the blade shape and length and the point is a needle. The jimping is not too dull and not too sharp. The handle is very ergonomic in both forward and reverse grip and I love the way the choil and flipper combined to form the finger guard. As to the scales themselves, I find the texturing to be visually interesting but not particularly grippy. The only downside I can find is the overall weight and the fact that it feels very handle heavy to me.

P.S
If you noticed that I didn't comment on the pocket clip, it's because I don't like them and immediately remove them from all my knives.

Good pick up on the ZT. I had a 200 for a while but it ended up being too thick for me. It's a great knife though and is built to be used!

Congrats on your new acquisition. I love my 0200 even though we have a strange relationship. I may not carry it for month, but then, when I do carry it, I tend to carry it for a long time. :D

Oh yeh, I carry my ZT 200 often.

I really like my 200 as well, though I can open mine using just the flipper quite easily, as easily as the 560 even with its KVT.

I just got one yesterday! I had handled my friend's 0200 and always admired its ergos, and even ordered one. But just as I ordered it, that shop got some 0551's in stock, so I changed my order to that. I was kicking myself for not grabbing one after once I saw the prices jump for this knife, but I saw one on the exchange the other day and jumped on it. This thing really is a beauty; great form, best ergos I've ever felt, and overbuilt to the nth degree. Ken Onion says the Spec Bump is his favorite production knife he's made, but the 0200 just has something other knives don't (with that said, the grip pattern on the Spec Bump is great in that it's grippy on your hand but not on the clip).

I do think the flipper isn't designed very well, though. Ken Onion's flipper design works for assisted openers, but for a manual knife it shouldn't be pointed like that. That way you can push the flipper perpendicular to the handle and open the blade without needing to add a wrist flick.

after getting my 0200 (and 0300) i lost my desire for hardcore ? folders...0200 will do all i ever require and then some....one helluva knife IMO..........FES

what is the big deal about getting blades opened as fast as possible...i got my 200 tightened down to just where there is no play, at that point it flips out half way and i just pull it the rest of the way, and boom, it's open and ready for work...i set all my flipper and thumb stud opening types the same way.

my 200 is my #1 all-around working knife, second would probably be the HEST...

Mine opens fine with the flipper with just a gentle twitch of my wrist.
For what I cut this knife just won't go dull. Excellent knife :D

It's such a badass knife. Someone needs to make a movie, where the main villain has one of those. It's bound to be a success.

...it is badass isn't it LOL...not a fancy hi priced looker...has the heft and look that says "use me as hard as you want, i can handle it"...i definitely don't baby mine...

I still love my 0200.. What a great knife. I picked it up for about $100 long before the price hike. I'd love to eventually pick up one of the beadblasted ones.

Mine sits beside my bed... love it. :)

And inside your washing machine too, apparently. :D

OP, sounds like yours needs a little bit of adjustment. I did that to mine and now it opens easily while maintaining 100% secure lockup even if I hold it upside down in my hand. Just play with it a little bit and it will loosen up. Congrats on your purchase of an excellent knife.
