I am on the waiting list for one of these beautiful knives and I am wondering if any of you might own one and hear your comments about it

It looks to me that this is an incredible SD knife

Thanks!

Never handled one, so I may be off base, but it looks like there would be multiple hot spots on that handle that would make extended use uncomfortable, possibly painful. Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Some of the most....(we'll say non-traditional) looking knives are also some of the most ergonomic. Think Spyderco Dodo.

Blade Designer Notes:
The Beckwith Covert is named to honor Col. Charlie Beckwith, the founder of US Delta Force.

(Bold added by me. )
Beckwith's name on the blade threw me off , but now I see why . 😒

From what I see it breaks no new ground in combative knives. It’s polarizing looks don’t help and as others have mentioned, the handle does not look comfortable. The price is high for the materials used to make it.

I also don’t like the how the name “borrows” the honor and cachet of the Delta commander.

Perhaps in hand I’d change my mind on all except the last critique?

The designer, Chas Fisher seems to have put a lot of thought into this blade. He's made multiple videos on YouTube about the knife and even done some cut tests on pig carcasses. 🐖 I don't own the current version but I think I'll pick up the xl version when it's released in April. ⚔️
