I was at my hunting cabin this past week, fishing up a storm (and catching a nice largemouth which broke my pole and nearly made me capsize the boat). My buddy pulled out his granddad's fishing knife. I figured you all would get a kick out of it.

Built in ruler!

And a second ruler...

Guess the bottle opener is for pop.

I always get a kick out of the fish stores, rulers, and so forth.

One of my fishing buddies has a very similar knife, but without ruler markings. He got it from an inherited tackle box. Cool knife.

That's quite a concession to devote one whole side of the knife to "honest fishermen." Maybe there were more of them back then...but somehow I doubt it.:D

Oh man I had one of those when I was a kid. Think my Mom sold it at a garage sale when my parents moved. Cool!

If I saw that at a pawn shop or flea market, I'd be grabbing it quickly. Very cool.

Very interesting, never seen one. One of the coolest novelty type knives I've seen. I'm sure it'll fillet too.

I have this one that's said to float if you drop it in the water. Your's is much cooler with the ruler:D
