This is a first post for me as far as this blade being damascus. A friend of mine, Ray Coon, had made the damascus and was wanting to see if I could forge a hawk out of it for him but everytime I tried to drift the eye it would seperate on me. I've always hated to see a piece of steel like this go to waste so I cut the bar up and made a few knives out of it. This one has a 7 1/2" blade with a cocobola handle and wrought iron fittings.

Well, let me be the first of many who say, "Holy Shneike! That is one fine looking knife!" :)

Great blade, great handle, great fittings. Great job.

I'm feeling great today, in case you're wondering. ;) :)

This sleek style you are doing right now makes for some very handsome knives. I very much like the random pattern of that damascus.

Keith, I figured you'd be along soon. This new style I've come up with I have no idea what the influence was but I'm really liking it. I also have no idea where it is taking me, I'm just along for the ride. I don't plan on doing anything larger than the last one but I never know. I feel like I've just touched the surface so far......

You have a Great Day! Ray

That's one slick-looking blade for sure - very nicely done!

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks Roger! I'm trying to figure out which direction to go from here with this new style for me. I'm still building in my head.....
