Fishing is an activity where in you catch fish normally by hand gathering spearing ,netting and others. There are also other activities related to fishing like Fish Camping. this something I want to try. It is where families will go to harvest, process, and dry fish:) I find it exciting and a way to spend outdoor activities with my family.

Running a trot line can get you a bunch of fish too, noodling can be fun if you want a big catfish. Haven't done that since I was a kid but we always came back with good sized fish to cook.

Tasty, where are you at that you are interested in "fish harvesting"? I fish for sport and pretty much throw everything back (aka catch and release), but I'm a trout guy. I suppose if I were in Alaska, I'd be trying to catch a bunch of salmon for the freezer.

Fishing is a great family activitiy and certainly camping while fishing or fishing while camping is a great outdoor activity for the whole family.

I've always been a catch and eat kind of guy, growing up we didn't always have much money. Fish and game were plentiful and cheap, worms or bugs for fish and a couple of 22s for squirrels or rabbits.

Hey Dave! I was talking to my brother out at De Cordova and he said he's never seen the lake this low. Islands popping up where they weren't before etc. How is it affecting you and your fishing? I was on the river at Pecan Plantation a couple years ago and it was low then. Hard to imagine it being worse!--KV
