I decided to start a fishing gear thread. There are numerous threads pertaining to rods, reels and other gear, but I wanted to
try and keep many of the great pictures members post in one place.

I sent Rick a P.M and asked if we could make it a sticky. I don't have time this morning to post any pictures to get it rollin, but will soon...

Okay, one quick picture before we head out the door

I picked this one up awhile back. It's an older Custom Grizzly - Fenwick... This rod is absolutely beautiful in person and very nicely made.
My pictures don't do it justice, but I will add some more later.

Nice pictures so far... Here are some reels I picked up over the last week or so.

Vintage Wards Sport King Casting Reel with the box and paperwork...

Penn 109...

The handle is on the wrong side on this one lol, but I thought it would make a great addition to my vintage Mitchell collection...
This one is a Pre-Garcia version, and was made in 1954, and has a very rare and unusual inverted engraving on the side. The Mitchell 301is upside down I've done quite a bit of searching about this and can't find any explanation...

Living on the Texas coast my whole life, fishing is a passion. I began building my own rods a few years ago, not for profit but for my own personal pleasure. They are nothing fancy but here's my go to rod that has caught quite a few Texas trout and reds over the years. For some reason it's the only pic I have at the moment

Here's a few more quick ones to add...

Shimano Bantam Curado on an older Lamiglas Graphite...

Mint condition vintage Mitchell 408... These little reels are very cool, and probably my favorite Mitchell...

Mint condition Mitchell 306 and 406 Saltwater reels...

An old Penn Spinfisher 720. Not mint but still in good usable condition after a thorough cleaning inside... The grease inside was so gummed
up when I bought it, it would barely turn.

My latest Lamiglas. It's a Cascade Pro Ultralight with a Pflueger Summit reel. It's similar to the President but I like the colors better The reel is a Cabelas exclusive.

Thanks. I've used vintage Fenwick equipment and really like it. I did recently look at some of the newer Fenwick offerings, and they still
make some very nice looking rods....
