Utility knife for fishing
Around 3-3.5 inches
Nothing crazy because it's public so nothing scary
Low key color like black handle
Uncoated blade
Good rust resistant
Under 200

I currently use a Benchmade Mini Landslide with N680 steel rated for salt water (works too). It is only about $36 from KW, but you can get it cheaper sometimes. There is also a full sized Landslide for a few bucks more. Great general purpose salt water folder. They come in orange, pink, and OD green. Mine are orange.

One thing to think about as far as the Spyderco H1 knives, get plain edge or it's just a pain to cut bait with. I've got the Spyderco H1 FB in my box but it never gets used because I made the mistake of getting the one with the SpyderEdge. I usually end up with an ESEE 3 plain edge and give it a shot of WD-40 when I get home to stop rust.

+1 for a Spyderco Salt. I always have mine with me when fishing on the coast. In freshwater I carry a SAK or Mora.

Look at the custom makers that sell on here if you're wanting something different. I've bought from a few of them and have been highly impressed. I just put in an order with Paul Rasp/CPE Knives for a 8" or so S35VN fixed blade that I plan on using as my primary hunting & fishing knife. 3 5/8" blade length, 1/8" thick, flat ground, Macassar Ebony scales. Should be pretty sweet. Paul has been great to work with and it came in well below $200.

How about a buck 301 with black sawcut delerin? Not scary, water resistant, and at <$40 if you drop it in the water you won't feel too sad

If by fishing knife, you mean filet, Cold Steel and Benchmade both make pretty cheap but good ones. If you mean boat knife, then the David Boye knife is the best. I use my leatherman for fishing, its all the knife you need to fish with and the pliers plus other tools are helpful.
