Sunday Allen and I went fishing in the SS Minnow on a small trolling motor only reservoir nearby. This is actually the reservoir that prompted me to finish out the Gheenoe. Its a perfect boat for this lake. We had a ball, and caught a bunch of small fish. Allen caught the only really impressive one. It was a big thick flat faced bluegill. If we'd have found a school of those I would have been frying fish! But unfortunately, we only caught the one big one.

This first pic is saturday when Dink and I took the boat out for a short ride around just to make sure everything was OK.

Latham Reservoir is a beautiful lake. There is no swimming allowed and no gas motors, so its really nice and quiet and calm.

This was near the dam as we headed out.

At the other end of the lake the stream spills over rocks and into the main lake water. This was where we started catching fish.

I didn't know this was what we'd find. It was very pretty.

We had an great time. Didn't pull out till 3ish. Both burnt pretty badly as we forgot to use sunscreen.

Nice pics Andy. That runoff is a pretty site.

Give that man up front a paddle.

Very nice! I love me some big ol bluegills! Not much better than getting onto a school of them.
