Fishing Pens

I went to dogpile and typed in "fishing pen". Found several sellers. Seem to be around $16 to $25 before shipping. I think I will order one.

You can pick one up on eBay for 14.99+5.00 PP. I'm tempted to try it, but I have a feeling that the reel looks very dinky and the rod and/or reel could be very suseptible to damage.

I had a 5 lb bass kick my ass once with a good rod and reel...I can imagine what would happen with a pen sized reel...LOL

me too. but it was a rainbow. the penrod thing might not break, but i imagine a med fish would snap the line. i wonder how much heavier line, say 10-12 lb, the real could hold.

probably not good for recreational fishing, but like others said, good to have in a bob.
