fishing today

went down to the beach and did a little bit of fishing this morning.
the fluke was great lunch with some landshark lagers.

I love fishing. It is a great sport, guys like you and me are therefore, great athletes. There are very few outdoor sports that go quite as well with beer than fishing... well... maybe horseshoes...

BTW... what kinda cord did you wrap that skelly in??? Looks cool!

that is shot line, also known as messenger line. it's attached to a rubber "grenade" and shot out of a rifle from ship to ship, tied to a larger line that's pulled across then a cable on a pulley system to transfer fuel and goods.
it's very strong, constructed like mini paracord with 3 strings inside.
a leftover from my navy days.
