I want to bring my swamp rat Bog Dog to my fishing trip thats in NYC...

I've only went with it once because I know I might be in trouble if cops find out I have it in the car. Now Do people still bring it knowing that they might get in trouble? I keep it in the trunk far from "easy-access" and only bring it along with my fishing gear once I get to the spot. Will that be considered reasonable?

Fishing in NYC?

I highly doubt you'd get any crap from a cop if you're carrying a "recreational" knife along with a fishing pole, tackle, etc. But if you do...

Carry away. ;)

Outside NYC, it seems like you can carry whatever the heck you want, so long as it's not a switchblade.
