fishing with the kid.... she is pretty cool for a girl.. lol

this was the same trip the mother in-law helped to roll the boat.... grins it's been quite a few years since i've had that happen.. too much soloing i think... anyway i found out that the "waterproof" rolltop bag was only water resitant... and the camera took a bath in salt water... not good for cameras:eek:

lesson learned... no mil in the boat...lol the kid did great and loved the whole thing and i got to practice unswamping a boat... all in all a good time....

Very cool. My lil' girl has been hunting, fishing, camping, and just about everything else outdoors since she was 3 (before that we had to take mom) ;).

She is 11 now and shot her first 2 deer this year and seems to always out-fish her ol' man. I keep telling her that it takes much more skill to catch the little fish because their mouth is smaller. It makes perfect sense... just think about it. ;)

Keep up the good work m48, and you stand a chance of getting her out of the mall and back into the boat with you when she is a bit older.

That's AWESOME!!!! I can't wait until my boy gets old enough to go fishing with me and get out on the water.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Nice catch, too!

She's adorable! Thats great that she enjoys fishing with her old man!

Awesome post, wish we had some good canoeing waters around here. Your little girl is adorable.

yupper... she loves to fish and go canoeing.. she is sleeping in her tent at the house and i found one of her little tents will fit inside my big one... ill have her camping by the times she is three.... them's the plan anyway

her mom has the mall and things covered....

Maybe try out her little one inside your big one in the back yard a few times first. Dark and Strange dark are BIG things for them. LOL I went through LOTS of batteries with four with their own flashlights in campgrounds.

You child is super cute. What a stunning area you have to play in! Love those mangroves.

Good stuff my friend.

Cute Kid and sweet little Double Bit.

Seeing those mangroves in the background makes me long for those winters I spent fishing it the Keys and the Everglades.

That oyster shell beach eats boat bottoms for a living I tell you! Had many a kayak get scoured by the oyster beach, arrgh! I used to fish and hunt in the 'Glades too, from both sides and down in the Keys. Spent not enough time in the Ten Thousands I tell ya!

At least now you know what to get her for her next Birthday, a hat like Daddy's! Just make it a size or 2 bigger so she can keep growing into it.
