Thought I would share this photo. Chris Kravitt (Treestump Leather) did a nice job of matching this sheath to the handle material on my Fisk Southwest bowie. Too bad I didn't do as nice a job taking the photo. :D Thanks for looking.

Wow, Kevin. That's an incredible display. You have a rare Fisk Sheephorn Bowie, a presentation stand, and an outstanding sheath that Chris completely matched well. All deserving.

Your photo is VERY clear and shows them off wonderfully. You are not trying to fulfill a portfolio, but I sure see the details clear as day. I give it well-above-average.

Thanks,

Coop

Kevin,

I almost wet myself!

That is the best looking Fisk that I have seen in a long time!

Kravitt's sheath is off the scale and I don't even like sheaths!

Peter

Thanks guys.
Coop, It took about 25 photos for me to get one even that good.
Knives are difficult to photograph, however you make it look so easy.

Keith, how's progress going on your Russ Andrews? The last "in progress photos" you posted were good.

Thanks Norm.
The Bowie has an unusual combination of Jerry's pistol grip handle with his southwest style blade. He normally uses this handle design with his Woojack and Rojo models. It fits and feels very nice in the hand.

Alright, sheephorn! The whole setup looks great, congrats. You now have at least two of my favorites from Jerry. As an aside, just wondering if that's a display box with a glass cover? I remember a while back there was a thread about displaying your knives out in the open. It seems that dust particles can fall on the blade and cause speckling on the blade due to condensation. If you're going to have them out in the open you might want to try coating the blade with wax or something.

You are right Jose. I cover my displays with acrylic cubes to guard against dust and ultra violet rays from the sun which can fade and dry out handles and the sheaths. And of course motion sensors. I use Camellia oil on my blades and handle material to protect them. It gives a nice natural sheen but not too glossy, and stays on for weeks. Japanese sword makers have been using for hundreds of years.

Aesome knife and sheath. I have never seen a sheep horn-handled Woojack before. Most excellent.

Kevin, if you think I snap and go, you are also nuts. :p Only 25? That's pretty normal....

Watch figure ice skating done well. They also make it look 'easy'. ;)

Never posted on a Fisk, what better of an example to start with than this one.
What a stunning Bowie,it's all there;Damascus, the beautifully shaped handle in Sheephorn and I'm with Peter on the sheath, not to mention the museum quality presentation stand.
Can you tell I'm envious as well,Kevin?

Nice image,btw.
Thanks for this!

Doug

That knife just "works" in so many different ways. After the Arkansas camp knife, the Southwest is my favorite Fisk design.

Great shape, style and even the dreaded goat antler looks good :)

Okay, I will be the meaney here (despite the fact that both the knife and the sheath are top-notch). Let me say that, for me personally, the sheath is a bit too "busy" and I don't like the visible hardening line in the damascus blade.

While I'm not normally a sheephorn kinda guy, this one works for me. In fact, I think I need a cigarette! :D

No doubt John, there's a lot going on in that sheath.:D

Thanks guys for the comments.
