The micro show is set for Oct12th this year. Below are some of the pieces that I will have.

This Gamemaster hunter has a Turkish twist blade of approx. 5 inch in blade length, fossil mammoth ivory, stainless mountings with deep relief engraving and a bit of gold work. I like this knife. It tested well so it would work as well in the field as it does on the wall. This is an NLT marked piece.

This is my vest bowie offering. A bit different. I have always wondered what one would look like with a Damascus bottom to it so this was what I came up with. 1084 for the upper and a long twist for the cutting edge. The blade is 5 1/2 inch long. W pattern guard with a touch of engraving on the stainless ferrule. African Blackwood handle. Simple little knife that is a one of one.

This dirk is bit of change. It has engraving on the blued guard with a touch of gold here and there at random. The face and end of the frame handle are also engraved the same. The engraving on the blade took some time. You have to engrave it while soft, mask off during the heat treating, mask off the engraving while etching. Not hard to do but just takes a lot of time. This piece has an 11 1/2 inch blade, pre-ban elephant ivory. Pointy little rascal. NLT marked.

This is the 2013 $8.00 knife. Each year I have one of my Sendero's at the show for $8.00. This year the handle is desert iron wood. Stainless guard. The knife is put together I just thought I would show it at this stage. The blade is 4 3/4 inch long of 1070 steel.

This is my version of a simple California style bowie. A+ grade thick Mother of Pearl framed handle, deep relief engraving on the stainless mounts with a bit of gold work. Dog star pattern Damascus blade is 8 5/8 inch long.

I am also near completion of a nice Southwest bowie that I will post up when I can get it to Chuck to photograph.

Very nice Jerry. I like them all, but that dirk is something else. Great knives as usual.

Great work Jerry. I haven't seen a pearl California style bowie from you in a while - these are among my very favorites of your knives. No doubt pearl of a suitable size is not in plentiful supply. Really digging the vest bowie, too.

Thanks y'all, I appreciate the good words.
Mike, when I began to make knives years ago that was the price of my hunters. $8.00 each. So, each year at my Micro show [you must be present to win this drawing], I offer one of my Senderos for $8.00. This is to remind me from whence I came but also as a reminder that everything I make must have value and performance.

These are all beautiful but that Gamemaster is STUNNING. I need to try to get to the micro show. Can you provide details of where. I will be up in Tulsa around that time or at our cabin in SE OK. Is that close?

All absolutely outstanding line-up of knives as is the norm for your Micro Show.

It's the most laid-back and enjoyable small show in existence in my opinion.
I believe it's the original 'small boutique' type show that made this type show concept so popular today.
What is this Jerry, the 9th year?

JR Cook and Mike Williams told me about a small private show in Oct during Blade Show. Perhaps this is the show? Mike is working on one for me now that he said would be complete by then.

MW, yes, that is the show. Here is a link to read about what goes on,
http://www.jerryfisk.com/knife_gallery/themes/av_knifesite/micro_invitational.html

This years invited makers is Jim Crowell and Dan Peterson as well as JR Cook. All bring something unique to the table.
This year we have Confederate and Union soldies fighting with swords on horseback so the folks can see how swords were really used. I am paying extra for the South to win this time. :)
Friday afternoon we have the state of the Union discussion about our industry, what trends, what and why collectable, business discussions about the future markets etc for both maker and collector views.
As Kevin said it is informal. Some of the micro shows are at art places or hotel rooms. I hold this one at my house. Family does the cooking. You can ask anyone, we eat really well at the show. This year is prime rib dinner etc. We plan on laying the ground work for a collector mentor program for those that want to. It will save money and time for some folks.
We hold a knife rodeo. The makers will show how each cut is made, then the collectors make those cuts to compete. We explain how and what each event tests a knife. Last year I think it was I had an ivory handled, Damascus, engraved, gold inlaid piece that we chopped with. I smacked the engraving and gold on a 2x4 so folks can see you can use this.
All in all a good time and you can develop good friends in the industry by having a relaxing weekend with like minded people.

Thanks for the info. I looked up Nashville, AR. It's not far from our cabin, which is just north of Broken Bow up by the lake.

Beautiful knives, Jerry.

Folks are going to have another great time at your place this year.

Roger, there was a pearl handled bowie there in 2010 that was a stunner. I asked about the "slabs" of quality ivory it took to create that knife and they are indeed hard to come by. I dig this one as well as the dirk for 2013.

I was fortunate to have made it to the Microshow in 2010. Unfortunately, work obligations have caused me to miss them since and the last 2 Blades to boot.

October 2010 will be a highlight for me forever. The crew that converged at Jerry's was deeply ingrained in knives and I learned so much. The knowledge concentrated in Jerry and Bob's home at one time was extraordinary. Oh, and There Were Knives Everywhere! Let me change that statement...Outstanding Knives Everywhere!

Although it was my first time I was treated gently . What that really means is the level of mutual respect and information sharing was what makes this thing we do different from other pursuits. Great people, great knives, great food and fond memories  Nobody does better than Jerry, Bob and their Microshow team.

I like the Southwest bowies above all bowie styles. The work well in the field as they have a good balance and weight to them.
This bowie has some of the best engraving I have done to date. Once you put it under a eye loop you can see the details better. I have over 100 hours engraving time. I will explain this at the show, of what and how to look at engraving. I even engraved the ivory on this one.
The blade is approx. 11 inches, the handle is fossil Walrus ivory, the mountings are stainless with deep relief engraving and line engraving on the ivory.
Hope you like it.

Incredible pieces--all inspiringly beautiful. That Gamemaster has so many useful design features and the flow, finish and materials are just superb--sets a very high bar. Thanks for posting those, Jerry. Such lucky collectors to be able to enjoy your show--best wishes to you and Bob and for all involved.

Great looking pieces Jerry! It is an awesome show to attend. Looks like another special year!
