Fiskars or Corona loppers? Pruners?

I am wondering about the better or best loppers for use in brush clearing on my property. Lots of limbs from hardwood trees, so I am thinking about the Fiskars 32" PowerGear loppers, and I see good recommendations for the Corona X-series.

For pruners for simple vines and small, skinny limbs, is Corona the brand to get?

If there is a better place to post this, let me know. My searches brought up a lot of "Zombie loppers". 😂

TIA,
Sid

I have been pleased with my Fiskars loppers. Very useful tool!

Also, consider using pruning saws for anything sizeable. There are several good brands. Just be sure to cut cleanly and at the branch collar.

I prefer corona over fiskars for loppers, but they have many options. I didn't like the lighterweight fiskars I had but haven't tried their heavier duty loppers. In general, corona makes a good product, though they do have some cheaper items that are not good quality. If you are able to see them in person, it's obvious. The welds weren't good on a cultivator I picked up but for the price, I figured I would give it a shot. It was okay, and would've been fine if I kept it to lighter work like the garden but ended up bending it when digging up some harder roots to change out landscaping.

I've never tried felco loppers, mentioned above, but their pruners are really good. Their loppers are quite expensive and I don't need good loppers as much as good pruners for the work I do.

I’ve had the same pair of magic mart random brand loppers since 2009 and I live in the woods. Use them several times every year all year. Never felt a need to upgrade though I could see a need for a ratcheting set maybe in some cases.

I've had a pair of those Fiskars 32" Titanium PowerGear bypass pruners for years, and a pair of Corona FL3240 pruners. The Fiskars get used regularly, the Coronas just hang on the wall....The leverage from the geared action of the Fiskars is just so much better....

I have used Corona, Felco, Bahco, Hickock, and ARS. By far the best are the ARS. You can't go wrong with ARS.

I've always used Corona. Even though they are now made in Mexico instead of the US, they seem to have maintained their quality despite the move.

HICKOCK loppers are amazing, they're also rebranded by STIHL if you want to pay a premium.
The 32" HICKOCK 32A cost $85-$100 depending on where you buy them.

I don't have a picture of mine, but after 3 or 4 years of frequent use they're holding up great and I've used them for stuff that I felt might break other loppers.
I've done nothing but spray them with wd40 when I'm done.
They offer wood handles if you want, but these square tubular aluminum handles are great and aren't going to ever split.

I've never liked the flat stamped thinner blades of fiskars loppers, you really want thick heavy duty drop forged blades for bypass loppers to be used on branches.

Those loppers look really good! Thanks for posting about them.

Are you cutting live or dead branches? I found out during the Summer that there are different loppers for each type. Anvil Loppers are for dead branches and Bypass Loppers are for living ones. The incorrect one is inefficient to the task at hand, even though it may do the job. Cutting through dead branches with a bypass lopper was a real chore.

It was easier with my Hickocks than with anything else I've used, but yes it is a good idea to have a pair of bypass loppers and a pair of anvil loppers.
It's something I've been meaning to buy but haven't yet.

Live stuff almost exclusively.
