Just finished another one of my Toge Kwaikens. This one is a beefy little hand full of 3V. I gave it a nice dark acid washed finish. The handle is red hemp under wrap, a hammered copper menuki (hand made, not store bought) and then a black Ito wrap. I then soaked the whole thing in Marine Grade G/flex epoxy so not only does it look good but it is rock solid. On the spine is my signature tapered fuller, and I gave it a subtle swedge on the tip which makes for a needle sharp point.

The sheath is setup for any of the Tek or Molle Loks. And can be carried vertical, horizontal, or my favorite; inverted week side draw.

Thanks for checking out my work!!

Nice, it all goes together so well.

Thanks so much guys!!
I forgot to mention I built the handle up under the wrap to offer a fuller grip. I have been using hard neoprene lately.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hard neoprene is a good idea. I like it better then leather.

Yeah nothing wrong with leather, but it just seemed to make sense.

Nice knife Ben and I like the detail of the fuller

Thanks Joe! I think it gives something visually interesting to look at, to what is normally a boring angle of the knife. It has quickly turned into my signature on these.

I like leather...but I like to slow down its decay by soaking it with CA....by the time it is done.... I might have used a synthetic since it is not going to be seen anyways.

Super clean work Ben. I like it.

One comment, if I may: It would be cool to see the fuller a little longer. Visually, I think it would be more striking if the taper of the fuller matched the taper in the tip of the blade. Maybe a more clear way of stating it, it would be cool if the fuller tapered out right along side the taper in the blade. Your fuller tapers out completely before the taper in the blade starts. If you made the fuller longer and they mirrored each other more, then it would be perfect to my eye.

Does that make sense? But it's a cool little touch as is. The comment is just my opinion and therefore.......means nothing. :D

Nice blade.

Yep, once it is saturated in epoxy it is solid anyway. Either material works fine.

Yes, very nice. The copper menuki and fuller really add t the overall IMO.

Thanks Kevin. Wasn't sure if I liked the copper color with red wrap, but I think it works.

Nice blade.

Thanks John. I have considered the same thing . And in theory it would work. But visually the longer the fuller, the shallower the angle of the taper. And so visually it doesn't look as nice. One option would be to make the taper full width until the blade starts to taper, and then start the taper in the fuller.
