fit and finish

In response to my post below, How r the fit and finish of k-bars? I ask because I know they r respected and an old company but their prices seem too good to be true. Has anyone ever taken one of their handles apart on a fighter? Are they glued to the tang before the pommel is tightened on to waterproof the tang and solidify the handle to the knife. Or I wonder if the tangs are set into a mold of liquid kraton to have it harden around it. I know absolutely nothing about kraton. I shouldn't be asking all this but I have not handled a ka-bar for 20 years. And there is no dealers nearby with any stock on display. I live rural far away from cities. I will probably mail order from some place off the net. Unsure who to order from. Sorry to be a nuisance. Cory
