Most of the knives on this DoTD are new to my admittedly limited knowledge of HI's product line. Eye candy is right.

Can someone shed some light on Ram Kumar's repertoire? What if anything is he known for?

Ram is a fairly new Kami, and I believe the consensus is that he is highly creative, and very skilled. I wouldn't hesitate to order any kind of custom through him, and his created blades are masterpieces in themselves.

Thanks for the timely help Cul. I have seen his work on earlier DoTDs and was impressed, and thought I'd get an expert opinion!

I have 2 of his blades. A skilled craftsman indeed. The Jungle Knife I have from him is fantastic. Excellent chopper, expert heat treatment, and almost perfect symmetry.

I have several of his. Ram Kumar is capable of perfectly balancing a knife. If you see a "Balance Knife" khukuri it is most likely made by him. If you see one, buy it. You wont be disappointed. I have used the heck out of his knifes both small and large and never had an issue with the heat treat. I bought the Parewa knife above. It is awesome.

I am very impressed by Ram Kumar.
That is a great looking knife. Good catch!
