I don't want to deal with taking five pix of these blems so let's see if they move without pix. If you MUST have a pix let me know and I'll try to get one -- or five -- up.

Blem 1 -- 15 inch, 22 ounce, AK by Bura. Saatisal handle. Good work and good knive. Took a hit during shipping. Buttcap slightly loose, minor chipping of wood at buttcap. Use as is or epoxy fill chipped area (about 1/2 inch long, by 1/8 inch high). Everything else fine.
Save $50 and take it home for $75

Blem 2 -- 15 inch, 22 ounce AK by Bura. Horn handle. Horn shrunk a little. Buttcap needs filing down 1/32 or 1/64 to match buttcap. Bolster could use small epoxy fill to fill minor gap between bolster and handle. Or can use as is. Bura stuttered on the grind and you can see a slight wave in the edge at belly. 15 minutes with stone makes it perfect -- or use as is. Save $50 and take it home for $75.

Blem 3 -- BAS by Bura -- 15 inches, 1.25 pounds. Buttcap loose. Use as is or epoxy or hammer and peen again. Everything else fine. Save $40 and have it delivered to your door for $60

Blem 4 -- 12 inch AK by Sanu. Horn shrunk a little. Some epoxy fill fixes everything. Took a hit along the way and scabbard split. Wire wrap, leather patch, or use as is -- VERY CAREFULLY. Save $40 and take it away for $60.

Blem 5 -- 16.5 inch, 1.75 pound Chiruwa AK by Bura. Minor rust damage. 15 minutes clean up. Everything else perfect. Save $50 and take it home for $95.

Call or email. And remember it'll be more of a surprise without a pix.
Blem -- 3

...I'm still trying to uh, save some $$. I'll hold out for the big boys, those 12-15" are too tiny!

I'm not going to be buying this time,
but when I do buy again I'll want a picture.

If every one looked exactly the same it
wouldn't be an issue, but thay are all
a bit different, as someone pointed out
yesterday with the two Bura BAS's.

You said you don't want to deal with
posting pictures, but I think you'll
need to think of it as advertising.

Without the individual pix I would never
have bought my first (or 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th,
how many do I have now?)

HIKV doesn't take hold till you can see it and
imagine holding it. Sometimes the khuk reaches
out of the picture and grabs you by the throat.
Sometimes it's just a personality thing.

Maybe we can come up with some ideas to make it easier on you.

? How long does an individual picture take for
you to get onto the forum?

? What part(s) of getting the pix up is the biggest problem?

Sanu is gone with no pix. If anybody really wants a pix let me know but I hope I can sell these without. We'll see but I agree -- a pix is worth a thousand words.

I can't believe it, when I first contacted Uncle Bill nearly 2 years ago I was keen on a Chiruwa. I know think I am getting one, No idea what it looks like but Im sure it will be awesome !!! Bura is a true master craftsman.

I have two Chiruwa's by Bura. One has the finger grooves. They are exceptional so I don't think you will be disappointed. With the full tang, I can see why Uncle Bill says they can be a substitute pry bar! And if you break it, Bill will send you two. That won't happen in two life times. ;) Bura makes the best K's IMHO. Enjoy!

pics to me an i am sure many others are a must, not so much as to see rust ect that makes them blems but so that you can see the shape ,belly ,pointiness of blade ect,as was stated before every blade is individual,i for one would not want to buy a blade without seeing a picture.and also bill it is id say 70% of the fun of the blems and non blems, not to mention helps impulse buys. regards ghorka:( :( :( :) i see they have all gone, but i for one ask that you dont continue this no pic policy thanks.

I prefer pix too, but that hasn't kept me from buying several sight unseen, all of which exceeded my expectations.

The trouble with posting pix is they've provoked me on more than one occasion to make an impulse buy.

I'm much more rational in my decision process when they're not looking back at me.

A local biker in town showed us a picture last night of his bike with Playboy's Miss July Playmate draped over his bike ( in street clothes ). Really truly. He's a friend of the girl's grandmother who owns a shop here in town. His beard is gray, but his eyes haven't stopped being appreciative even if his own daughter is only a year or two younger that the Playmate.

Yeah, I have to agree that pics add that elusive something that helps establish contact and says "buy me".
