fix a small recurve

hi all,
i have a problem with a queen serpentine jack, which ive tried and reprofiled a bit from the obtuse factory angle.
now it's about 30 degrees, but there is a small recurve in the middle, and im not sure what should i do about it..grind a bit from the choil area to make the edge straight, grin both from choil and tip curve, or just sharpen it on the sharpmaker corners.
im afraid that by removing the recurve i might grind away too much of the blade, and if i sharpen it with the sharpmaker, i will only make the recurve deeper, and ill only be able to sharpen it that way in the future.
any advice, suggestions ?
thanks a lot :D

I wouldn't mess with that at all, at least not all at once. Just sharpen it as normal. If done lightly & carefully, that very subtle recurve shouldn't be a problem, even if using the flats on the Sharpmaker. Or, if you have a relatively wide, flat diamond hone (maybe fine grit), use that to touch it up like any other straight edged blade. Most of the heavy contact would be forward & behind the recurve, which would straighten it out over time. Same could be done with a piece of wet/dry sandpaper on a hard backing, like glass.

Don't worry about it. If you sharpen it on a flat stone, freehand, it will even out soon. No need to stress, or to employ any drastic measures; it will take care of itself.

Agreed, that's such a small irregularity that it will come out in the course of normal sharpening.
