Fix blade(miller bros blade) is it really worth the money

Nice looking knives. Plenty of different designs. I'm sure they are fine. However. I'm with you. I wouldn't buy one until I talked to someone, or several someones, who had used them. As far as "better than Busse" I'll take a wild guess and say no. But then again, how would I know? What kind/use/design are you looking for? Looked like they had a good range of designs to choose from. As long as you are happy with 5160. And for a hard use knife I would be.

Never heard of them before. But they do look interesting.

I have been interested in a few of their knives. The video of them batoning through 1/4" steel plate and hanging weights off of the handle of one of their knives is pretty impressive. My only issue is the price they charge for 5160 steel. I may still get one but I've been on the fence for a while.

Oh crap....I can't look. Do they really beat the hell out of that poor knife into steel, with a sledge hammer?

So, does this mean if you baton with one of their knives and you break it, they will gladly send you another?:D

5160 is used for swords. Also Kukuri's. Also many custom makers use it. It's very tough. Doesn't have a reputation as holding an edge well or taking the sharpest edge. Guess it depends on the heat treat and edge geometry as much as anything tho.....Traditional Kukuri's are made with, mostly, salvaged leaf springs. Don't know if this particular company uses "scrap" steel or not. I doubt it.

If my memory serves me right, MBB are 100% handmade with no use if any modern machines - a justification for their high price. No experience with them, but videos are awesome.
