  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Just finished a hidden tang 4" with a brass buttcap screwed onto the tang. The problem is that I got carried away with the grinder and exposed the tip of the threaded hole. Whats the best way to repair it? The hole is only 1/16" and is sealed with acraglas.

Lets see..you could put some kind of small finial on it, or set a small stone or something there. If worse comes to worse you could mix some brass grindings with epoxy and fill. You could take a small brass screw and grind the slot away after you set it in, when you polish it will look like a custom butt cap with a little flair. Just use your imagination and something will come to you.
