Fix Lockstick w/o Opening a Knife?

I have a new SIDIS/Shiro Poluchotky that I recently bought, and I love it to death. The only issue is that there's a bit of lockstick that forms after I flip it for a bit, from what I assume is some residual oil leaked from the pivot to the tang. If I take a q-tip and wipe down the face of the tang where the insert contacts, I'll fix any stick for about 10-15 flips, then it'll come back.

Now since this knife has one of those special snowflake pivot screws, I can't take it apart to clean it and wipe down the insert/tang. Are there any surefire ways to clean out the knife so this won't happen anymore, or do I just have to 'outlast' the issue until it goes away?

You could blast it with electronic contact cleaner or another aerosol solvent that leaves no residue.

The stuff actually dissolves and washes away grease and oil. Sometimes it takes a generous dose though depending on the viscosity and proprietary formula of the lubricant haha.

Ah, alright. I'll look into it.

Friend suggested graphite fix, so I'll go for that tomorrow.

pencil graphite or sharpie(marker) applied to the tang are both known to work on lock stick. They both will clean up with rubbing alcohol on a Q tip if you decide you don't like it.

Fold a piece of paper until desired width is achieved. Use to wipe in slot between the lockbar face/insert and the handle when the knife is closed.
