fix loose guard on knife

I bought a John Russell Bowie Knife (RU1000) on e-bay. It has a full tang with stag scales and an 18cm stainless blade. It's stamped J.Russell & CO. Green River Works on one side and Argentina on the other. It looks good and the blade is fine.

My problem is that the guard is loose and rattles whenever I pick it up or move it. Something that annoys the heck out of me:grumpy:.

I was thinking of using either glue or some silver solder & a soldering iron to fix the rattle, but don't want to stuff it up and bugger my knife.

Any suggestions?

30 minute expocy applied carefully using the tip of a toothpick should cure any loose part... I have used this cure for many small or large unwanted rattles.
