Fix the multi posting in forsale

Please fix this. Really annoying. So simple to be like every other forum on the internet where once you make a thread it takes you to the thread instead of leaving you in creation mode. Many many times a day there are double and triple posts for the same item, not because all these people are idiots, but because the page needs fixing.... Make a thread creation delay. Anyway you cut it, fix it. Many different avenues to make this not happen constantly. Heck it probably is the same way in the rest of the forums..

Thanks

Yea it is simple to not double post. But the masses are so used to 99% of forums out there that the double posts happen. Or the occasional for sale poster. Just see nothing happening and hit create again where if it was set up right it wouldn't be a option. Such a simple fix I think

Might be a simple fix, but it may also be linked to the other issues the forum has faced for the past year.

I have tested this out with osts and it worked, so it may work with new threads too.

Hit post new thread. If it does not go through, copy your content and then refresh (or leave and then go to the forum you're trying to post) the page and it will likely have gone through as it should.

If not, your content is saved and you can give it another go.

This is not an Exchange issue, it has been happening across the site for some time now. It may seem "worse" in sales threads due to pictures being added, so it takes even longer to update. But as others have said, if you only click the button once, and be patient, it will work. Spark has said some things are in the works to improve the site, so hopefully that takes care of it.

Agree, I even said that in the last sentence of my original post.

But again. You, I and others know how to make it work correctly. But face it. Fix the issue because it is like hurting cats to get everyone to do the same. Aint going to happen.

Think we might be talking about 2 different things. I don't know how to "correct" the lagging issue that I'm talking about (which results in multiple posts because people end up hitting the button multiple times) but Spark is working on it. You seem to be talking about some other functionality that I'm not aware of.

Could be. I bet you guys get it solved quick though one way or another!

I just created a thread in a sub-forum (not the Exchange, but can't imagine it would differ), and once it was created, I was brought to the thread just like you describe above. So the only reason that it would seem like you are being left in the creation mode is the lagging issue, which is being worked on according to Spark. But it obviously isn't a quick/simple fix, or it would've happened by now.
