Recently I've been watching the episodes of forged in fire I missed. On season 5 episode 1 "The Rhomphaia" David Baker can be seen carrying a small fixed blade on the outside of his right pocket. I was just curious if anyone else carries like this and can it be done with any fixed blade sheath with a clip. Thanks for all the help and wisdom in advance.

I've done it before but didn't like it because the knife flopped around too much.
I see no reason why you couldn't do it with any sheath that has a spring steel type belt clip, but I wouldn't recommend it.
If you wear skinny jeans with those pockets that are too tight to use it would probably work better, but then you have a whole other set of problems ;);)

I'd clip it inside my pocket if legal or on my belt.

I have seen how he carries them, and I do not carry my edc sized fixed blades like that.

Depending upon the knife and sheath design, I will either pocket carry clipped or in my back pocket (behind my wallet), or crossdraw.
Very seldom is it that I wear a vertical belt sheath.

It would be very easy for the knife sheath to get pulled off your pocket and left behind in the course of daily activities. You probably wouldn't even notice it was missing if it's worn on the outside of your pocket.

Thanks for the input guys. After my collection was stolen the only fixed I had left was a little CRKT S.P.E.W. and I modified the sheath with a springs steel clip off one on my tape measures but definitely noticed the flop.

And ABSOLUTELY no skinny jeans in my wardrobe. I firmly believe you must relinquish your man card upon purchase. Lol

Nah ! You don't have to relinquish it , they'll slowly take it away one severely constricting day at a time :D

The Ulticlip would allow one to clip the knife on the outside of the pocket and it would never let go . might still "flop " around but those Ulticlips do not let go PERIOD

I have a kydex pocket sheath with a drop so I can attach the knife to my belt and drop it into my pocket. I use 550 cord to give flex and hold the sheath and knife in position.
