So I found two very similar knives; one a John Carson Stag Fighter used marked down from $1,500 new to $950; and a second, a Randall Knives Sportsman Bowie used marked down from $1,100 to $850. 9" blade vs. 8.25", 16 oz. vs. 20 oz.

Can you advise if one maker has an edge over the other in quality?

Thank you!

Well Sir you are just plain wrong!!!!

Just kidding! There is nothing wrong with that. I guess that is why there is more then 2 or 3 ice cream flavors in the world. :D

I admittedly don't like how the bone usually feels in the hand.

My advice would be to hold each knife in hand and decide which feels better to you. Would be even better if this could be
done side by side. Let us know which one you choose.

I’d love to try them first! But as usual up here in Wasilla, Alaska, I’m buying off the internet without holding it.

That worked out super well for me with a Zieba/Knight Southern Star. Now, with Wilson Combat’s endorsement and advice from this forum, I’m going for it on the Randall.

Thanks!
