I would like to see a FB Civi or hawkbill style with a kydex sheath.Similar to the Al Mar Backup 2.

The guy who got me into knives used to carry a Civilian in a kydex sheath he made for it.

He carried it as a folder for a long time but then the one day he wanted to draw it under pressure and he fumbled it.

After that he carried it like a fixed in an IWB kydex set at a 45 degree angle. So all he had to do was reach behind and pull.

I edc'd a Military/Civilian combo for years. Eventually I had a local knife maker scale up the Military to a 5" fixed blade, but he was unsure about his ability to do the inside curve of the Civilian. I'm tempted to go with pair of Al Mar.

Sal has said that the Civilian is a difficult knife to make because of that grind.

If it was a fixed blade, how would you sheath it? That curve is delicate, not something I'd want to whip out of a kydex sheath.

I'd love to see pictures of that 5" Millie fixed. :D

maybe an open backs kydex sheath? with a strap of some sort or other retaining device or just pulling it through a tight kydex slit? I dunno.
