Which fixed blade EDC option that you would recommend?

I'm open to all suggestions, but I'm looking for something that would be easily concealable, and somewhat affordable (below $150).

I like my fixed Kershaw Skyline with a Kydex sheath and Spyderco G-clip. I also have one from a maker on the forums. Look for HardEdgeKnives

I'd suggest an Izula, very concealable, will run about $50 plain, then can get up to $75-$100 depending on if you want scales and what kind. I love my Izula with TKC's G10 scales, bought together they'll run you about $90

I have tried carrying a small fixed blade myself in the past. Talking 3.5 440C blade, cocobolo scales and brass bolsters in a nice black leather sheath. Nothing big or intimidating at all. Every time, I mean every time, someone would ask me who I was planning on killing that day. I am frikkin fed up with it. Nobody says a thing about a Spyderco Military with a 4 inch black blade. But a nice fancy little fixed blade, and I am planning on killing someone. What a bunch of asshats I live around.

I’ve eaten’ shit in the past for carrying a fixed (hunting, mind you) over 6”, now I generally carry a folder or a 4” fixed depending on my mood.. Annoys me as well…

I live in CA and don't even get that

I used to live there, 26 years. One day I was carrying the same exact knife in a store. A police officer came up and asked if I had a place to store it as someone had complained about it. Gave it to my wife to hide in her purse. At least he did not confiscate the damn thing.

Here's an Izula w/ scales next to a fb skyline and street beat. The ZT is also great if you don't mind the weight.

I carry one of the following on a daily basis: BK11, BK14, Izula II. They just slip into a pocket or onto the belt and I haven't had any trouble. I think with a responsible attitude towards it, most people could carry larger fixed blades without issue. I have on occasion worn my ESEE 4 IWB to work. My only advice on the subject would be to check your local laws, and check with your employer to make sure everything is kosher before you make a decision on what to carry.

I love my Spyderco Street Beat. You can find one for just under $150 if you look hard enough. The included G-clip sheath gives you a few different options for carry. I carry mine IWB at 3:00 with a 45° rearward angle, and it prints just a bit, but it's very easy to access. Carried vertical it's completely unnoticeable from the outside, but it's not as comfortable (especially when sitting). The contoured handles fit my average sized hands like it was made for me. The deep choil makes it feel very secure, and the blade shape is great for utility.

I carry a smaller FB almost daily, along with a folder. I've settled on either an Izula (original), a BK 14, or a Northstar EDC. The Northstar really surprised me. It's a narrower and thinner blade than Mike usually turns out and its perfect for concealing under a loose shirt. It rides very close and still gives you a 3-1/4" blade with a pretty strong spear point.

The Northstar new will be a bit over your price limit but the other two will fall well under, even if you add T-K-C aftermarket scales and a pocket sheath.

Check out Blind Horse Knives and/or keep an eye on the exchange. There are plenty in your price range.

When I can't carry my BR Woodland Special on my belt.

I carry it concealed in a pocket slip.

Swamp rat rodent solution in a kydex sheath. No belt clip. When I carry it, I just slide it in my back pocket next to spare mag and pull shirt over it. Keeps the sheeple in their little comfy world.

It's funny, people have asked me stupid things like that before also, and no more than 10 minutes later come to me with a problem that is easily solved with the "murder weapon".
