I have been carrying these knives for the last few weeks. Here is a summary of my experience.
Model | Pocket Carry | Belt Carry | Neck Carry |
Bird and Trout | Okay | Okay | Good |
Bird and Game | Okay | Okay | Good |
Spike | Okay | Good | Okay |
Peacemaker III | Good | Good | Poor |
Peacemaker II | Good | Good | Nope |
The neck knives can be worn on the belt by threading loops through holes in the sheath. However the rings on the Bird knives are kinda bulky around the waist.
The neck knives can be slipped into the pocket, but it takes two hands to unsheath them because the sheath is not tied down.
The Spike is a little heavy for neck carry. For me, the Bird and Game is the heaviest I can tolerate at around 2 oz.
The Peacemakers can be carried inside the pocket and clipped like a folder. They can also be clipped to your belt without removing the belt. I put black tape on the shiny clips.
The Peacemakers are too heavy for neck carry, but the small one might be tolerable for some.
Overall, the carry system on the Peacemakers is the easiest for me. Clipping inside the pocket is probably my favorite method, because it keeps the knife out of the way, and it is easy to sit or lie down. It is also easy to slip the Bird and Game around my neck, but it is a less capable knife than the Peacemaker III.
