Hey all. Got a good start on folder edc was wondering what recommendations would be for a quality fixed for edc. Hovering around 3 inch plus or minus. Around the 100.00 range. If you have good recommendations for significantly less please enlighten me. Thanks a bundle.

Ka-bar wrench knife ~$50, Cold Steel Secret Edge ~$30, Bradford Guardian 3 ~$130-150ish, Demko Armiger 4 (80crv) ~$80, Fred Perrin Baby Bowie ~$60, Spyderco Street Beat ~$135. To name a few good ones. The Armiger may be a little large, and I included a couple that are a bit more pricey, but worth the extra cash.

ESEE Izula has been my production-level choice for this for many years and it's absolutely stellar. Their warranty is unbeatable and their knives are both strong and easy to maintain. If you do get an Izula, just make sure it comes with the micarta handle scales.

Lots of choices here......
This is a good start- Becker BK-11, you can get the knife, a nice set of wood handles and a decent kydex sheath for a bit over $100.....

Or, going in a different direction, a Mora 1/0 in with an aftermarket leather sheath-

The Cold Steel Mini Pendleton is an excellent and cost effective little edc, with a roughly 2.8" blade. It can be had for ~$33.00 or closer to $70.00, depending on choice of steel. The only downside is the sheath, but there are cheap leather and kydex replacements that are readily available.

The main question is: what are you looking to use it for? Skinning game? Slicing cheese and apples? "Bushcraft"? Opening packages?

The Rainer fastpak is a small, solid piece of skeletonized Elmax that has a slicey full flat grind. Comes with a really good sheath as well.

It is right in your price range. Rainier knives is actually the brother of the Bradford Knives guy. Both products are made in the same shop.

Update on the fixie edc. I happened upon an Asher Lil Buddy seconds sale for 65.00. Haven't looked at it yet but overall impressions I have read about or seen have been positive. It is advertised as being an s90v blade. Parts made in China and assembled in US. Not sure of hardness/performance of Chinese "S90v" compared to US or other countries, but the price was right. If any of you have Ashers and specifically a fixed blade I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Just had a chance to take a look at it. Holy crap for 65.00 I am impressed. I have read that lots of people couldn't tell where the flaw was for it to be a seconds, and I am in that camp. Edge is screaming sharp, ridged g10 scales are perfect, taco style kydex locks up like a vault. I might have to keep my eyes out for another "seconds" sale from these guys.

FYI if any of you would like to pick one up too, it looks like they have a few more in stock now. Black G10/black kydex or tan G10/black kydex.

closer to $70.00
Shop around and you can right now find the Cold Steel Pendleton Mini Hunter , in 3V steel , for around $50 .👍👍

Recently bought one for myself . ☺️

It is quite a small knife , but the handle is long enough for a full grip , for my medium men's size hands .

Handle is small in diameter , but works fine for me . Resembles a slightly thick bladed paring knife , IMO .

Very compact , easy to carry , and excellent for precise control .

Lower down knife, in pic below , is my older version , not 3V , but same size :

I added a Turk's head to mine which gives me a semblance of a 4-finger grip. I like it as a boot knife but it rides well on my belt too.
