Absolutely. And the Hunters Scalpel comes with a hard locking sheath.I was thinking the knife case may the most important factor in this type of carry.
Which Bark River knives are those, and where can I read more about that sheath?Bark River has some nice little knives.

And don't forget the cool sheath!
You should consider the AG Russell Hunters Scalpel. I haven't work-tested the new version yet, but I carry one of the older Hunters Scalpels in front pocket daily. The new model is a tad longer, but I suspect it will fit comfortably also.
The sheath can be attached to pants, in which case I think it would be rather simple to use the thumb release and draw the knife one-handed.Bob - how does that sheath work in the front pocket? Do you draw it and then unsheath it with 2 hands? thx.
and the CRKT version of the Stubby razel. :thumbup:surprised no one suggested the graham brothers for a razel yet ..
Right now I am carrying a Scrapyard Yard Guard (7.5" recurve blade) in a cordura tactical-style sheath. It is hanging off my belt, right down into my RF pocket, and is covered by a t-shirt. Depending on how you do it, you can carry quite a large blade this way. I've carried even larger knives with Randall-style pouches this way as well.

Yowza. Can you sit down with 7.5" of blade inside your pocket?
If I were going to carry a fixed blade in my pocket it would probably be my Swamp Warden, they're pretty light and compact.
