I ordered the whole set and received them today. Wow, they are works of art. I don't usually have fixed blades but these are great. Sshhh ... my wife doesn't know I bought them. I wish they would add the 124 Frontiersman and the 118 Personal to the Heritage set. And maybe some more. They are in D2 steel. Not sure if that is better than their 420 HC but I think I'd rather have S35VN. But then I guess I would be getting the Pro series. In fact, I think I may do that after my bank account recovers.

I want pictures of your wife when she finds out about them. All at one time is a pretty big financial hit. In the past six months, I have acquired the 102, 105, 119, and 120. I am not sure I like it the best, but I use the 105 the most. It is great for cleaning squirrels and fish.

Well, at least you have a reason for using them. I am just a old city boy who doesn't do anything outdoors. I just like collecting Buck knives. Most of my collection are folders. These are among my first fixed blades.

Ha! Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll grow up to be an old city boy. I wouldn't mind moving to a big city once the kids are done with school.

I'm in the suburbs, so most of what I do outdoors involves running/hiking (I have a Vic Rambler on my keychain, but that's not really necessary for a run or hike) or gardening/yardwork (pocket knives can be pretty handy). I use my 102 and 105 in the kitchen. They're just right for some things, less so for others. On balance, though, they're pretty great kitchen knives. Like TheFishman, I also use the 105 the most. The handle is perfect for me. The mailman brought me a new 104 today that got cleaned up and went right in the kitchen knife drawer. I think it'll get a lot of use, too.

That 120 you have would probably make quite the impression at your Thanksgiving table next week.
