My budget is anywhere up to let's say.....$60, I'll go up to $70 if it's REEEAALLY GOOD. I'm looking for knives relatively similar to the ones shown below. Country of Origin does not matter with the exception of all the cheapo countries (China, Pakistan, Taiwan, etc.). I'd really love US made though. So anyways, advice/suggestions anyone? Much appreciated. By the way, the Puma SGB I posted below has a blade made in Germany and the rest in China, that's why it's scratched off my list at that price point. I've just been looking and looking but I'm afraid in all the wrong places. Plus I'm sure you good folks have more knowledge than I. Doesn't have to have stag handles either, wood is okay.

Have a look at Svord of New Zealand. I think they have a hunter or two in that range. I'm pretty sure they use L6 which is an excellent steel, although it's non-stainless so you'll need to take care of it. Svord seem to be focused more on the function than the aesthetics - for me that says it gives you the opportunity to make it your own. Go look.

:)

Oh and since someone else will say it I'd like to be first - look at Mora.

Lol, I know of Morakniv but they just don't have the appeal to me with exception of price of course. :D

But I will go check out Svord I know of the Peasant but that's all I've seen. Taking a look now.
