I would not even try it based on a conversation I had with a friend of mine in town here a while back that is a retired LEO. I live in N.E. Oklahoma
The law in Oklahoma states its illegal to carry a 'Bowie Knife' or 'dirk knife' and while it may be a gray area most according to him interpret those two items as fixed blades of any kind and the ones that don't will depending on the circumstances. It has to do with the situation in other words, like if you were stopped for something else and a fixed was found on you then its a concealed weapon and you are also charged for not revealing it to the officer if you neglected to mention it.
While the law states that it shall not prohibit the 'proper use' of guns or knives for hunting, fishing, educational or recreational purposes most officers that he spoke of would at the least ask one seen carrying a 4 or 5 inch fixed blade in a city or town in Oklahoma what he did for a living, or something leading to why he/she was carrying the knife. This may not be the case one time, but if seen twice or multiple times it is a sure fire way to at the least be questioned about it.
Fixed blades according to my friend are more likely to be considered a weapon by society as well as the LEO's themselves put in the same league as brass knuckles, billy canes and automatic knives.
