Whats the biggest fixed blade you can carry in Pa? I really want to get a SOG Seal Pup but I don't know if its legal to carry (4.75" blade).

From what I understand.. which isn't a whole lot mind you, there are no blade length restrictions here in PA.. just no auto's, daggers, gravity knives, .. just google "Pa knife laws" and you'll find the actual letter of the law. pafoa.org is the site you wanna look at..

I was born and raised out side of Pittsburgh, and have never had any issues with fixed blade carry. That being said, location location, location. I only carried a fixed blade outdoors, doing outdoor activities. I have never tried to strap on a Kabar and go to the mall. I am sure if you are using the knife properly and responsibly, and if you are carrying sensibly, you will not have an issue. For example, a fixed blade on your belt traveling to/from hiking or camping vs. dressing like V (in V for Vendetta), or Danny Trijo from Desperado. Use your head.

I would be carrying it as a self defence knife. I would prob be carrying it a lot. If I feel like I can
