I've done some research and searching, and I've found a few threads on the subject but none seemed to have a definitive answer. I've been carrying a Buck 110 (sheathed) in the console of my truck for a few years and it's legality has never even crossed my mind. Lately though, I've been considering swapping it with a small (3-4") fixed blade.
I don't plan on being arrested or having my vehicle searched any time soon (or ever for that matter) but on the off chance it happens, what would be the chances me being hassled (or worse) for keeping a fixed blade in my console? I know Florida law says handguns have to be "securely encased" which to my knowledge includes gloveboxes and consoles, but knife laws can be kind of vague. Can anybody shed some light on the subject?
