Fixed blade kept in vehicle?

Anyone know for sure the law in CA regarding having a fixed blade knife kept in a vehicle? The only thing I have read in the law is about switchblades, nothing about a fixed blade.

Just want to make sure I'm not doing anything illegal by having a knife in my center console:)
 
other than the switchblade section, i have found nothing to prohibit carry of a knife in a vehicle in any fashion.
 
Is that also true in either PA or VA?

Is there a limit as to how big it can be, where it can be located? Does it need to be registered?

Also, is there a limit to how big a knife can be, as long as its not concealed?
