Hey Guys,
I have been trying to find a way to carry my CRKT minimalist unconcealed, due to law. I'm dont like having my shirt tucked in so belt carry is concealed. I thought about carrying as an over shirt neck knife but it seems to "in your face". I have found alot on concealed carry and none on open carry. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

If you really want to open carry a fixed blades you should just carry a full sized knife on your belt. Most people are so clueless they still won't even notice.

The SOGzilla faux-spyderhole was enough to make me never want a SOG knife.

My shirt cover my pockets on most of my pants. I'm limited to 3 inch blade aswell so I cant carry a full size fixed blade.
Thanks Anyway

Even if legal size and carry, you may be too young in some areas. Be sure to look up your city's laws pertaining to age.

My minimalist I did a twist and cross with the paracord to make a basic belt loop for the factory sheath, but I carry concealed and IWB. I know my laws and accept all risks. Maybe shorten up the paracord and do a luggage tag loop over your belt and let it dangle just below your shirt tail.

just carry it concealed if ur a juvenile it wont be on your permanent record if you get caught.

Advising folks to violate the law via these boards will not be tolerated. Next time will be the last time.

It may seem unreasonable but you could adopt the practice of tucking your shirt in. Failing that I'd stick with a folder which it is legal to conceal or to display here in SoCal. There are many times when things go more smoothly if you are not displaying a knife. This is true for any age but probably more so as a teen than as a non scary-looking middle aged dude.

If you typically follow stupid advise... do what this guy says.

I have to agree.

DO NOT break any laws. The idea that your permanent record will not be impacted is silly logic. Never develop bad habits. Live right REGARDLESS of your age. Anyone that tells you do do something that is wrong because of some loophole that allows you to get away with it is asking you to compromise your ethics...it is a slippery slope. Stay good, my friend.

Google is your friend!

Don't listen to CalBearTactical

Morkte, I think you'll have to either wear your shirts tucked in, or just put it in your pocket and just make sure no one sees it. Because any other way is going to be a problem.

Unless you tuck in only enough of your shirt to keep the knife visible....Thing is, that won't look good in terms of 'proper dress'.

Depends on what you value more, carrying your knife, or not tucking in your shirt....

Is a neck sheath out of the question?

I am not familiar with the knife or your laws/needs, but I have recently discovered this form of carry and truly enjoy it. Probably not for everyone, but if you are allowed to do it, it allows you fantastic access, and the best thing for non-knife people (IMO) is when they SEE it long before you reach for it.

I find a knife is like a snake for NKP...if people see it before it is close, they stand a much better chance of not getting overly excited (as opposed to nearly stepping on a snake they never saw until it was under foot)

We are not about finding creative ways to circumvent the law. Do so at your own risk and don't involve these forums.

If you wish to discuss what's legal or not in your area or state, we have a separate area of the site for that.
