Here's my current EDC. Not much, a Cold Steel Mini Lawman. It's more of a "butter" knife than anything. Never holds an edge. I do beat the hell outta it. I'm a general contractor and use it for just about everything.
I do prefer fixed blade knives more than the folders. So, just wondering what JK "pocket" sized fixed blade everyone might recommend to replace this guy. Thnx

Can't get photo to pop up from photobucket...any help?

Click on your photo in Photobucket -when it comes up - to the right you will see "Share Links" click on the IMG rectangle that starts with [URL-htp…]. That will copy the selected image(s).

Now come back here and just do "paste" into the thread. Should be as easy as that.

Hmmm - I don't know if you need to upgrade your membership to post photos

I am glad that I joined, it does make photo stuff easier.

As for an EDC, John is right now grinding out the blade for my new EDC, It was ordered to be the perfect Carpenters Companion so maybe it would work for a General also.

John will post a pic in a week or 2 when it;s done. It is from his Element series, so it is very reasonable in price!

Compact Tool for larger hands. Pooka and similar for smaller hands. If it doesn't need to be too beefy look at the Toby knives (two versions). Also there are two smaller knives I never get the names of correct, Potowamie ??? and ???

Thanks RayseM...I wasn't clicking on the right link.

Hey there BTW. I was in this same exact position a few months ago. I'd like to offer my experience.

I just received my Element O1 Edc in the mail today (pic can be found on page 2 of the Almost Ready to Ship thread). I am very pleased. It is better than I expected - which is what I've now come to expect with John's work. It is, in my opinion, the best $100 custom knife out there. In its kydex sheath, it is perfect for edc. Great on the hip and fits very nicely in the pocket too. I also got it in 3/32 inches thick...which I really like. It feels great in hand and is extremely functional. If I had the money I'd easily order another without second thought.

You'll be very pleased with any of John's knives. For edc and pocket carry, the eo1 edc is great option.
