Fixed Blade Question

Codger, In a recent posting (which I cannot now find) there was a photo of a large fixed blade Schrade that looked something like a Buck Nemo. Appeared to be about a 6 inch blade, with a Stagalon handle. Can you tell me what model that was and something about it? Thanks, John.

Michael, do you know what the story is behind that funky sheath for the 171? I've seen that a few times in the past, but nowhere near as often as the standard cowhide.

The faux elephant hide leather sheaths were sfo for Sears on several fixed blades. I have a 165 with that type sheath. It was just one of their ordered upgrades. This is one of Arnold Rogers' pictures of examples from his collection.
